Won't write much about the live right now, but it was fun as usual ^^ Only stayed for the first three bands (THE VELVET were number three), and then went to eat dinner and take some purikura.

^They did bring candy for us :) Got it from the staff girl after the live, but still, Halloween candy (^o^)

We're usually four girls there, but today there were 18 names on the list of reservations, among them several had reserved 2 tickets o_O Where did they all come from? MiMi looked extremely nervous today. I can't help but think it might have been caused by the fact that we were quite a few foreigners there this time. Usually he's really relaxed and never seems nervous, but he was dripping with sweat during the MC, shaking and kept fiddling with his hair. He kept the MC quite short, saying how he tends to spend the same amount of time as one and a half song talking ^^; And, he also announced that they have another sponsored event coming up! :D I hope I can actually go to this one (>_<) Out of all the lives they've done for the past year, there was only one that I had absolutely no chance of going to, and it happened to be the first sponsored event they've done in five years ;__; I'm glad we didn't have to wait that long again.

I was just joking when I mentioned to friends how Bera would probably shape his hair into horns for every live now that we had called him kakkoii.... But he really is continuing doing his hair like that XD It did look very good today though, as he had curled the back of his hair really nicely, but it still makes me laugh.
He's also continuing going one step at a time towards being less shy and reserved. Last time we got kissing, this time we got grabbing. He kept to the people he was familiar with, but grabbed both mine and [info]mrs_fujiwara's arms, pulling us towards him.
That was unexpected and fun ^^

The setlist:
1.
狂った夜に
2. クライベイビィ
3.
ポワゾン
4.
ヒロイン
5.

Dis Inferno tickets

Did anyone receive the confirmation email for their reservations of Dis Inferno tickets yet? I was hoping there wouldn't be any need to send them 20 emails before hearing from them this time <_<; And I was surprised at how late the event is taking place this year :O There's quite a chance it might clash with something else. (But at least I don't need to worry about missing an Art Cube live.)

Anyone from my friends list, who's not living in Japan, coming here for the Dis Inferno? Or any other Christmas/New Year events?

And because I've done way too little purikura lately.

we went to Harajuku... )

My neighbourhood seems to have survived Thursday's typhoon quite well. 7-11 up the street had its windows shattered, but other than that I haven't seen too much damage on the buildings. And everything feels much cleaner now. (That feeling probably won't last long)

Saw Kaya again today... )

Because I won't get the chance to speak to Art Cube's staff for a while, and I've already seen the wrong romanization of the mini-album's title being spread around, I decided to simply ask one of the band members.

螺旋月 = らせんづき / rasenzuki

This information comes directly from Shizuki, so it's official.

Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer before we'll know how to read the title of Art Cube's mini-album.

I had asked several friends, both among the Art Cube fans and Japanese people in general, but no one could say what the correct way of reading it was. So I asked the band's staff at tonight's live, and this was the answer I got: "Rasentsuk.... eh? Getsu? eeeeeh? D: D:  I can't read this!!? @_@;;;"

The next Tokyo live isn't until the end of November, so they might update their website before then, letting us know what the title is. The poor staff girl looked slightly panicky when she realized she couldn't answer my question, so she'll probably find out as soon as possible.

Today's live was was really enjoyable for being a live with only small, not so popular, bands.

News announced at Art Cube's live yesterday can be found in a community entry. I'm so glad we got a paper with the information instead of having to rely on Seiji's MC. He completely messed up last night ^^; With a big smile on his face he announce that "We're releasing a new single in December! :DDD" Followed by silence....
Seiji: "Was that wrong? ..... It was wrong wasn't it...? What is it we're releasing?? @_@;;" *more silence* Yossy, from the side of the stage: "mini-album!" XD He had a list in front of him, the "remember to talk about this" kind of list. But he kept mixing up the various points on it, misreading it etc.

I'm not sure how to read the title of the new album. 螺旋月 can be read as both "rasengetsu" and "rasentsuki". Most native speakers I've asked think "getsu" sounds better, but that doesn't mean it can't be "tsuki", so I'll try to remember asking Art Cube's staff about it at the live this Friday.

Should be getting to bed soon, as I don't want to be as tired at Jasmine's farewell ceremony tomorrow as I was at today's live. THE VELVET played much later than I expected them to, and I was almost falling asleep towards the end (Been a long week). Not looking forward to that ceremony, but feel like I need to go. And somehow I think it might make me feel slightly better knowing that I'm actually doing something. It will be tough meeting the other fans though, but I hope everyone who wishes to go are able to. It's a holiday, so it should make it easier for people who are usually working or going to school. I'm also scared of doing something wrong, never having been to a ceremony like this before .__.

Anyway... Had a fun day today. But the front row at AREA felt really lonely tonight, being only four fans there D: A fifth girl I'd never seen before showed up right before the band started playing. I think she might have been asked by one of the other fans to join us, as we were missing someone to stand in front of the bassist. But for once Bera had as many girls in front of him as MiMi. That must have been nice ^^ But it really did feel weird with so few of us there. Our own private performance. Of course, when MiMi came out to sell CDs and photosets later, he got a looong line of people who wanted buy stuff/talk to him, or just stand there staring at him. He should be at the tables more often. They sell a lot more stuff when he is. I wonder how long we'll have to wait until Bera joins him again. He hasn't been at the merch tables since April.
They started the set "blindfolded". They had some sort of cloth covering their eyes. They could obviously see through it, but we weren't able to look them in the eyes, which was awkward cause you didn't know where they were looking. MiMi had a blue butterfly stuck to his face again (which, as usual, seemed to disappear sometime in the middle of the live). Bera had shaped his hair into horns, lol.
The set felt shorter tonight. Maybe because MiMi didn't talk so much (only one MC). I was also missing "Ride On Me" and "Kurutta yoru ni" from the setlist :/ Maybe next time...

btw, If anyone is going to the ceremony tomorrow: A couple of us are meeting in front of Hachiko at 1pm and will take the train to Yoga together. If you want to meet us there, send me a message.

Jetlag! Since I came back from Europe earlier this week, I haven't been able to fall asleep until 6 in the morning, but still had to get up fairly early all of these days, so definitely not feeling too great. But it's been fun hanging out with friends I hadn't seen for a few weeks, going to lives again etc.

Not going to get some sleep for several hours yet, so I might as well kill some time writing something here.

The flight back to Narita was pretty uneventful. I had to transfer flights in Amsterdam, which fortunately has an interesting airport as I had to wait there for more than 7 hours. But the place was quite big, and there was a Starbucks so it wasn't as boring as I thought it would be. And the Dutch language is really interesting. I'd never been to the Netherlands before, and hadn't notice just how much it sounds like my own language (as long as you don't listen to the words).
