Yesterday was the day of Megaromania's event at Star Lounge in Shibuya. Apart from the main band, the members all had their own individual session bands. We went there to see these charming guys....

^That's Seiji in the middle.

Was the first time I'd ever been to this venue, although I'd wanted to see it for some time now (A live I was supposed to attend there some months ago was cancelled). It's less than a year old, so not nearly as torn down as many of the live houses I'm used to. The only things I didn't like too much was the lack of a separate area for people smoking. The place is so small, people smoking are simply standing at the end of the room, resulting in the smell of cigarette smoke surrounding you wherever you are. The other thing was the bar of the front row, which is a little too high to be comfortable, and not padded at all. (Most of you probably don't care about these kind of things, but I'll mention them here for my own sake so I can go back and check later). Other than that, the place is pretty neat - pictures here.

The first session:
Vo.邑詩(Megaromania)
Gt.和希(PLUNKLOCK)
Gt.流輝亜(ex.diva)
Ba.Rito(我羇道)
Dr.Pinky(ニンジャマンジャパン)

I don't know how to read the names of all the different session members, but vocals was Megaromania's drummer, Yushi. Their session was an X Japan cover band; Yushi being dressed as Toshi, while Pinky from Ninjaman Japan did a fairly good Yoshiki impression. After the end of the last song, "Longing" started blaring out through the speakers, and the two guys started doing a parody of the two X members, hugging and being very dramatic.

Megaro bassist Hyoga's followed, with this line-up:
Vo.ジョジョ(ギャロ)
Gt.崇太郎(我羇道)
Gt.Rio(Secilia Luna)
Ba.氷牙(Megaromania)
Dr.TOSSY(我羇道)

I had completely forgotten Gallo vocalist Jojo would be there. This was the first time I saw him on stage without him ending the set with smearing chocolate all over his face. He's an interesting guy.
As the band entered the stage, we heard the theme song to Mononoke Hime. Hyoga was the title character, while the others were dressed as various animals... Though not quite true to the movie, since they'd opted for kigurumi, and therefore we had a Stitch, a Chip, a Rilakkuma and a panda. And Mononoke Hime's necklace was made of colourful plastic clothespins, lol. On guitar was the adorable Rio from Secilia Luna, and they ended their set with a song from her band.

Third was Megaro vocalist Sui and co:
Vo.翠(Megaromania)
Gt.RYO(spiv states)
Gt.十夜(Cu[be])
Ba.憂里(Cu[be])
Dr.Kisara(ex.Hi:BRiD)

Every time I see Sui he looks less and less like the pink-haired vocalist from Metis Gretel. He's turned into quite a handsome man now.
I wasn't familiar with any of the songs they did, but enjoyed it nevertheless. They were all dressed in yukata.

Fourth was the session we had waited for; guitarist Misary:
Vo.Z(Art Cube)
Gt.美沙麗(Megaromania)
Gt.RayX(Vll-Sense)
Ba.玲人(ALSDEAD)
Dr.S(Art Cube)

As the curtain opened, the all too familiar sound of this surrounded us. We looked at eachother in disbelief and mouthed "omg, he's gonna come on stage wearing a girl's school uniform D: " And sure enough, this appeared in front of us, lol:

Shizuki is even less feminine than Seiji, so this was just weird:

^complete with hairclip

But they made fun of themselves and the way they looked, saying they probably didn't look very cute x)
Seiji was as classy as always, lifting up his skirt several times, telling us "These are my panties!"......... thanks Seiji....

Don't know what their first song was, but the second one was shitsurakuchou, and the third was a Megaromania song. I spent quite a bit of the set trying to avoid looking up Seiji's very short skirt, as he kept lifting his legs, putting one leg on the box right in front of me, lol. As did the other Art Cube fans. Must have looked silly with the four of us constantly turning our heads in every other direction.

It was a rare occasion, costume wise, so here are a few more silly pictures.

To our surprise, both Seiji and Shizuki came out to the goodstable after the live, talking to fans. Seiji can't be serious, so he climbed up on a chair and started shouting he was selling pictures of himself, while waving at people and joking around.

Didn't stay to watch the rest of the live, but went and enjoyed food and a talk with friends instead :)

Art Cube's next live is July 17th, in Shinjuku, where some of us will be receiving a personal comment CD and sign board. I wonder what they're planning on saying to me on that CD.... It's kinda embarrassing ^^;

And finally we got a little more info concerning the upcoming release of the Art Cube x VII-Sense coupling single;
First of all the release has been  postponed to July 13th. And if you're in Tokyo this month, you might want to purchase the single at Brand X in Ikebukuro. Seiji and Shizuki, as well as Juka, erina and KAZ from VII-Sense will take part in an instore event there on July 24th. They will first do a Talk part, followed by Handshake. (I kinda wish we could choose which men to go talk to.... I wouldn't know what on earth to say to erina and KAZ ^^; And I'm guessing their fans will feel equally awkward with the guys from Art Cube.)

Fourty year old men as schoolgirls....
Seiji asked the audience if we thought he was cute. *silence silence silence* Then someone shouted "Misary is!". lol, poor Seiji.

Is the one you're already going to a noon or afternoon event? The Art Cube & VII-Sense event starts at 16:30.

Ah lol, before reading anything I clicked on the link and went all: "Oh, didn't TV play there before?" and had to facepalm at myself when I read that you mentioned it was the canceled live. lol But now that you've posted a link to it... did Versailles shoot their Vampire PV there? O_o I don't have a booklet with me to check atm, but the place looks soooooo similar!

Back to your entry... LOL lovely ladies you have on those cheki! haha But omg at Seiji lifting his skirt! He's an amusing guy, imo! I like his pigtails, though.

Btw what's up with that guy and his chocolate? Why does he smear it over his face? lol XD

Oh and the commment CD, will it be just audio, or video, too? XD
I think it's kinda sweet that they're making personal CDs for you, although I agree on the embarrassing part... ^^

Just double checked, and the stage in Versailles' PV is looks bigger than this place. (The entire room at Star Lounge is like 10 meter tops from stage to entrance door. The bottom left picture on the venue's website is taken from stage and shows the entire place).
I see what you mean though. It would be interesting to see Versailles do a small event at Star Lounge.

Seiji complained in his blog that he wanted to look cuter, but that it was impossible, aww x)

I saw Jojo in a band called The Skull Fuck Revolvers about 3 years ago, and he was doing the chocolate thing even then. I had no idea he had started a new band the first time I saw Gallo, but recognized him due to that act. Maybe he explained it many years ago and I simply missed it since I never paid much attention to his previous stuff.

I think it will be audio only since they call it a comment CD and not DVD. Somehow seeing their faces while talking about me would just make it more embarrassing, so a CD will do just fine x) And yeah, it's a really interesting gift. Didn't expect to get something like that.

That's the whole venue? O_O It really does look tiny! :/

Ah even if he managed to look cute in that outfit, it's his actions that'd ruin the cute image, hahah. XD

It gets even tinier when you have all the goods tables there as well. Far from the smallest venue I've been too though. I once saw Velvet at a place that had about 1 meter of floor between the stage and the tables. That place was ridiculously small.

yeah, Seiji isn't really the 'cute' type ^^; And it didn't help that they all kept trying to grab each others imaginary breasts etc. Silly men.

well, it's good that they don't take themselves too seriously. Seiji's outfit was too small on him; he kept making jokes about it saying we should be prepared for one of the buttons flying off while he was singing.

Looks awesome lol
But I can't take Shizuki serious :'D

RayX was probably the cutest one there. He didn't try to overdo the look and act as much as the others.

And I don't think anyone can take neither Shizuki nor Seiji very seriously ;)

Hm, maybe that's the reason, why he is definately my favorite ^.^

Haha, but he is awesome anyway :D
