Art Cube @ 高田馬場CLUB PHASE

Today (yesterday?) was pretty great :D It was the first day of the year that really felt like summer (We've had so much rain lately, and almost every day with a live has also been a rainy day). Unfortunately there was no time for the ice cream we had planned on eating, but at least we didn't arrive at the live house drenched in water.

1. 蓮華宙 (rengechuu?)
2. 失楽蝶 (shitsurakuchou)
3. 花陽影 (hanahikage)
4. Soaring awakening

^I think it was only those four. I was disappointed Pain Wing was not on the list, but they have to play the new songs, and I guess it's a good thing they vary the other songs they choose to perform. It looked like Seiji was prepared for Pain Wing rather than Shitsurakuchou when the second song started though. He picked up the whip he always uses for that particular song once Rengechuu(?) was done playing, but quickly got rid of it once he realised it was the wrong song. (I'm still seriously scared he'll hit me in the eye with that whip. He's so close, and he isn't looking in the direction he's waving that thing .__.
Seiji's voice was a bit off today. He recently caught a cold, and he was still affected by that having to stop singing every now and then, and his speaking voice was kinda raspy. But he did a great job anyway.

I didn't see much of Shizuki or Kazune, as they were both blocked from my view by Seiji and Nobu. Tonight's live took place at Club Phase, which is a small livehouse in Takadanobaba; I'd never been there before. But to give you an idea of the size - there's only room for about 7 people in the front row.
Yossy had gotten a new black wig, which suited him better than the purple one. And it looked like he was really enjoying the guitar solos today :D

If any of you read Seiji's blog, you'll know he always starts the day by writing "ohhaho~". It's his way of saying "ohayo" (good morning). Previously he's always greeted us with a "konbanwa" (good evening) at lives, like Kaya always says "gokigenyou" and we reply. But from today the "konbanwa" has been changed to "ohhaho~" x) He brought a big sketch book with him on stage, where he'd written the word to show and teach us all. Talking about his own blog, he turned to us and asked "Which ones of you have blogs?" ...which is a silly question as he's seen the majority of us on Ameba already :p And no one replied, so he had to ask again before we all shyly raised our arms ^^;
In the sketch book he'd also written the name of the new single: 花陽影, and said there's a lot of people who might not know how to read it. The correct way is "hanahikage". Even CDjapan has it wrong, as does all the other mentions of it I've seen online. I think the band really needs to start including romanizations or furigana as soon as they release new songs.

This was an event sponsored by the band PRIMEADDICT. And after each band was done playing, a couple of the PA members would call out one person from the band that had just finished, and do a short interview. For Art Cube they called Seiji back on stage. The interview itself took place off the stage, down in the small gap between the stage and the audience. Seiji had some serious problems getting down there with his tall boots and long dress ^^;
They talked about his obsession with television (That's pretty much all he writes about in his blog). Seiji allowed (made?) one of the other guys touch his boobs, and mentioned they'll make an announcement at the next live on May 21st. Might be related to the upcoming oneman? Their next oneman will be in August, but when I asked the staff when they'll start selling tickets, she couldn't tell me yet.

After all the bands were done playing, there would be a session. Being such a small stage though, I didn't expect all of Art Cube to participate, with their big costumes. The vocalist called each band back on stage, until it was completely filled up by all the members of every single band except AC. He then talked a little about how the last band was of a different genre but that he had a lot of respect for them and he was really glad they'd agreed to play at their event, before calling for "Art Cube-sama". Which again consisted of only Seiji. (We'd seen the other members leave the venue already; There was no way they'd all fit up there anyway).
I've seen PRIMEADDICT several times by now, but have no clue what their songs are called. I recognized the song they did as a session to be one of their songs, but don't know the name of it. If any of you are familiar with those songs: It's the one where they all shout "wai wai wai" repeatedly. The vocalist shoved Seiji to the front and let him do whatever he wanted to. He took the opportunity to make us shout "ohhaho~" again, and spent the rest of the song entertaining us with silly dancing. He looked so out of place among all the other, mostly normally clad, band people (^^) After the song was finished, he turned to the Art Cube fans and waved goodbye to us before leaving the stage.

(Sorry if this became very centered around the vocalist of the band, but he was the one of them who participated in the majority of the event + I couldn't see all the members during their set (・_・;)

I kept getting interrupted while trying to take the picture up there...^
