Altar of the Spirit

Art Cube did another live with E'm~grief~ and VII-sense yesterday :) They always end those lives with fun sessions, and there's always so many familiar faces among the fans, so I really enjoy events like these. Unfortunately it might end up being the last time I get to see AC play with E'm, as the rumour we'd heard about E'm going on an indefinite activity pause turned out to be true. The only thing they'd mention before the live was that they had a big announcement. And when they announced that they would do their first oneman show in December, we thought for a second we had been wrong about the rumour. But I guess they had two big announcements, and they followed it up with saying they would stop their activities after this oneman. Although I haven't been able to follow them as regularly as I used to this past year, I've liked them a lot since the beginning, and appreciated how different their stage shows were compared to a lot of other bands. I'll miss seeing them.

Art Cube was the first band this time (I wish that would be the case more often). Setlist was as follows:
1. 蓮華宙
2. 香想曲 (kasoukyoku)
3. Pain~wing...
- MC -
4. 花陽影 (hanahikage)
5. Blue Heaven
6. not exist
- MC -
7. Soaring awakening
8. 失楽蝶 (shitsurakuchou)

Lots of songs thanks to this being a special event :) And long MCs. Announcements of upcoming lives, radio and internet TV appearances (details in their blogs), and about the December release (details @ the LJ community). And of course Seiji's mandatory mention of his breasts...

We got a new flyer as we entered the livehouse. This time with pictures of only the four remaining members.... It really feels like something's missing. I hope Kazune will get better and somehow be able to re-join the band, even if it takes another year. It would be so sad if we never got to see him again. We never got to say goodbye.

Anyway, the amazing Seiji cosplayer showed up again :D I cannot repeat it often enough, just how great she is. I remembered to ask her how long it took to make the costume this time; two weeks. Doing the makeup takes at least two hours every time. And she even has the piercings (Seiji has a lot of them), the tattoo (although not real), and since the store selling the ring Seiji wears (Blue stone with snake wrapped around it) is sold out at the moment and ordering it will take a couple of months, she made one herself. It looked really good.
And though I couldn't persuade her to be in the center spot of the frontrow, right in front of Seiji (that would have been fun), she accepted standing next to me, one spot right of center. I'm sure the band were happy to finally see her so close. (We've been trying hard to get her to go to the front earlier).
And she's obviously quite convincing as Seiji.... As we were leaving, she mistook the exit for the door that was leading into the backstage area. As she opened it, she realized her mistake, and was about to close it when the bandguys on the other side went "oh! come in!" XD

The session this time was E'ms song, Pains of Apsiration. For the furi, both the audience and Cecir & Yuuze wave around drumsticks (Cecir & Yuuze are actually using them on electrical drums. The rest of us just wave them to the beat). They somehow managed to fit all the bandguys on stage (Ruido K3's stage is really small and narrow. Frontrow fits five people). And instead of drumsticks, they all brought roses of various colours, which they eventually threw into the audience.

The pink one was Seiji's, and he'd sprayed it with some sort of perfume. The yellow one belonged to Yossy.

"Zeta" on the train. Our small dinner party consisted of a foreigner, a girl all dressed up in moitie lolita, and the "Zeta" above.... People were staring, lol.

Sounds like you've had really great time! It's nice to hear that! :D

What did E'm say the reason is for hiatus? They've picked kinda wrong time for that, huh?

Wait... so Kazune won't be coming back soon? Sounds like his recovery is going veeeery slow. I wonder what's up with that... :/

That cosplayer made everything in only two weeks. including the ring? She really is amazing! She must've put so much effort in making it and it doesn't seem to be easy at all. *applauds*

But I'd like to know how did you all manage to mosh this time if it's so small? XD

And who of you three got the roses? They look pretty! :D

I had a lot of fun meeting up with and talking with the other fans. Art Cube's fans are such a nice group of people :D

E'm didn't state a reason as far as I could hear (Bands rarely give a clear reason for such things, as it's usually related to private stuff). I hope the fact that it's a hiatus means they'll eventually be able to restart activities.

And Kazune has officially left the band. He's supposedly recovered well enough to go about everyday life, but they're still concerned for his health when it comes to doing live shows, so he's had to withdraw from the music scene for now.
I'm gonna miss him a lot, but also understand the necessity for him to rest properly. I'm still eternally greatful for that one person who found him when he collapsed <3 They said he might return to doing music in some form or another eventually, so until then I hope he really makes sure he gets the rest he needs and recover.

Aiza (the cosplayer) showed me some of her other cosplays too, and I think she's the most talented and verstailes one I've seen. One of the pictures was of her Sizna (Sugar/Moran) cosplays, and she actually manage to look like a really handsome guy, it's incredible.

Well, it's not moshing in the western term of the word x) We're basically just jumping from side to side, and when there's just five people it's not too hard.
The small venue was extremely crowded though *__* The frontrow was the most comfortable place there. Everywhere else you were squashed together by everyone around you. Impossible to sit down anywhere.

Oh! I didn't know he officially left. I guess it's most important that he gets well. Music can wait. :/

Sounds like she could easily pull off any cosplay! That's really something. :D
LOL did the bandguys figure out she's not Seiji? XD

I see. I thought that maybe the pushing from behind was bad while moshing, but I just remembered that there aren't many people doing that. Unless a lot of AC fans came...

She had to tell them she wasn't supposed to go backstage, cause they kept trying to usher her inside. And they probably understood when they saw the rest of us laughing behind her ^^; I wonder how long she could have fooled them if she actually went in there.

oh, there's definitely no pushing during the moshing, even when there are more Art Cube fans than usual at events. People don't want to push each other as that might end up causing pain to the other person, so everyone are careful not to bump into eachother.

Probably until real Seiji would walk into the room. I guess they would've been confused if "both" Seijis were inside, but it'd be even funnier. XD

Actually I meant if more fans came, more of them were moshing, not pushing other around. I guess I didn't write exactly what I meant. Aww they all seem to be so nice! I wish there were more people like that! :)

At least we'll have a new song from Art Cube later this year (Although people aren't very happy with the way they're releasing it). And there's the new Moi dix Mois album to look forward to :)
I hope the reason behind the E'm hiatus is a happy one. Since there's still a couple of months left I'll assume there's not any serious illness or something like that causing it.

Yes, it is good news that apparently the reason for Em's hiatus is nothing bad since they are having a one-man just before, but I was hoping to see them at least once and now I may never see them.

And of course I'm happy about D+SECT and that they booked a bigger venue again for DI, but after this long break I was hoping for a bit more "fuss" around the release. I mean, no release date, no cover artwork, no sample, no single, no word about a European pressing - I wory a bit that they may be rushing to finish it in time.

About AC, I'm not happy about the "best of" album with 1 new song either, but at least the fact that they will have an in-store in January means they probably won't split up (which was my first thought when I saw "best of"). BTW is the new song the live only release from a couple of months back? Or do I still need to chase that one down?

Argh, I sometimes wish I was a fan of one of those super popular bands that have tons of money and PR muscle behind them and keep churning out mediocre stuff, and I could just sit back and all I would have to worry about was how to pay for all their CDs and merchandise.

Did they finish the recording for D+SECT yet? I haven't kept track of Mana's or K's blogs lately, but saw Seiji mention going into studio to record a little while ago.

The new song on AC's Best Of album is a completely new song. They haven't played it live, and most likely it hasn't even been written yet. Not sure how to read the kanji in the song title, but the song on the live only release was "False prayer". This song will be included on the album too though :)

On "dix day" (10/10/10 - Sunday) they were still in the studio recording the drums.

Oh, thanks, I saw that on the track list. So that’s 2 new songs for me then!

Sorry, I deleted my wrong post by accident. -_-

Kazune recorded kasoukyoku even with his problems I hope he will keeping this in the other releases.
I can't imagine Art Cube without his keyboards. :(

Yeah, it would be nice if he could stay as a support member for releases. People here were complaining that the band didn't say anything at any of the lives this weekend. (The live following the announcement of Kazune's withdrawal, Seiji spent talking about pokemon, and people felt it wasn't the right time to talk about things like that).
