Some important annoucements from Art Cube, and lots of laughs to be had at yesterday's live.
RUIDO K4 is one of the smaller venues, and it ended up being fairly packed. It was a twoman with Art Cube and VII-Sense, and the final of their national spring tour. The latter of the two played first, and I was happy to hear them play Breeze again :) I like that song a lot, but rarely get to see it live. They did a good set, although it was a little short compared to Art Cube (Not that I'm complaining). When it was AC's turn, we moved up front, and a lot of the VII-Sense fans stayed to watch them too (There would be a session at the end).
1. 蓮華宙 (rengesora)
- MC -
3. 花陽影 (hanahikage)
4. Blue Heaven
- MC -
5. 霧人形 (kiriningyou)
6. Breath of Mind
- MC -
7. 暁の舞 (akatsuki no mai)
8 Soaring awakening
9. 失楽蝶 (shitsurakuchou)
Kiriningyou is the new song from the collaboration single "Art Sensation" that was released a few days ago.
Quite a long set, especially when you take into account that the time Seiji spend on the MCs is equalent to the lenght of several songs. The entire live ended up lasting for 4 hours, despite only being two bands. They almost had to cut the set short at the beginning of Soaring though. Yossy unplugged his guitar and some other problems seemed to arise at the same time and they were running out of time. But luckily they could fix it and were allowed to go on as planned :)
Lots of announcements during the MCs. Still waiting for the news to be announced on the official website too since I'm terrible at remembering dates when they're listed quickly like this. But the band will release a new single, akatsuki, in September if I remember correctly. They will be doing a tour to promote this (no dates/places known yet), as well as a sponsored event on September 20th.
The biggest news of the evening was however the announcement of the launch of an official Art Cube fanclub! It's called 「ZEALOT」 and membership application is possible at this website: http://zealot-ac-fc.jp/jizen/postmail.html
They were also doing pre-registration at yesterday's live, so we all handed in our applications there. Apparently we will receive an email on September 1st to complete registration, so I will probably know more then. It doesn't say anything about it being limited to Japan. It's only stated that the service will be in Japanese and that they only accept Japanese yen as payment. However, payment will be via bank deposit, and I'm not sure if you can transfer money from a foreign bank.... Will x-post this info to the AC community.
After their set was done, they returned to stage together with everyone from VII-Sense, who had dressed up in various kigurumi, lol. Juka was gachapin, KAZ was Jack Skellington, erina was Chopper from One Piece, RayX was Pikachu (Seiji being the very serious person he is, was making pika pika sound effects, lol). Mikage had coloured his face yellow and was dressed as kiiroitori (the yellow rilakkuma bird) and brought his giant banana on stage with him :) And again he proceeded to hit the audience in the head with it. I hope we get to see Art Cube dressed like this someday too. It would be interesting x)
Together they did "20th Century Boy" as usual, followed by "Touch!" (← Raphael also did a cover of this song which some of you may be more familiar with).
After the live it was time to pick up the stampcard gifts. The gifts would vary depending on the amount of stamps you gathered, and I got just enough to get all three gifts :)
A special photo, a sign board and a comment CD. The text in the middle of the board is my name written in Japanese, and they were cute and added "chan" after it x) As for the comment CD.... LOL. The CDs were all personal, made especially for the person who received it. And it is absolutely hilarious. Kinda embarrasing, but it made me laugh a lot. And I just counted; they are saying/shouting/wispering/joking about my name at least 21 times while talking. Just in case I was in doubt. It's an amazing gift, and I'm really thankful for them making these things for us.
